I've taken some of these CPU holders from dead boards. But many of the dead boards don't have them and many of them can be repaired - so I have more working boards than holders... And also all holders don't fit all boards.

Some kind of Chaintech motherboard - have a look onto board - there should be a small sticker onto the Bios flashrom with the model number
Try another IDE-UDMA cable and make sure your PSU is stromg enough -delivering around 12V on the 12V line and not 11.4(or less) or 12.6(or more)
Possibly a RAM problem?

Hmmm - strange problem
Try to contact support or use a different Bios file

Does the HDD work with an older 40wire IDE-cable ?
Please try the HDD with the known working cable from your other computer

I was all set to buy an asus m2n68-vm because of its onboard hdmi (and local availability), but it uses a GeForce 7 series GPU. Are there motherboards with DVI/HDMI out that have a chipset that will support VDPAU that someone can recommend?
