A patch would be too easy... you'll have to do your homework first
ftp://ftp.ecs.com.tw/bios/p6batap56.exe
You're using BIOS version 5.4; the link provided is version 5.6:
06/22/2000-693-596-W977E-P6BAT-APC-00
P6BAT-AP Ver 5.6 06/22/2000
Our utility mentions (for 5.6): "BIOS already supports HDDs over 32GB & 64GB - Nothing to do!"

Check the "Swap floppy drives" feature in BIOS.
Is your floppy drive connected to the connector for the B drive?

Thanks guys. I grabbed the current 32 bit "unstable" version. Pretty limited in features, performance, and in general, but I did not get any crashes in the relatively short amount of time I used it. Midori seems to be one of the fastest in the round of Webkit based Linux browsers. Arora is worth watching, but it is not much faster than Chrome. None of them comes close to touching either Firefox or Seamonkey, or for that matter, Opera, for overall features, but it is early in the game for all of them, so they are worth watching to see what eventually comes out.
Thank you for your help, but my mortherboard is not GIGABYTE and i also remember exactly what is my motherboard. The file which you post here can i can use it to upgrade my BIOS?
Hi folx,
Anyone here who managed to get a Mitac BK6731 to work with a Pentium III 700/100/256 ?
I made a Biosupgrade with rom.by's biospatcher so that HDD's over 65gig and new CPU's should be accepted.
Also - the motherboard has got an Intel 810 chipset, so the 100mhz variant of the PIII should be accepted.
But the display stays black
When I pop in the old Celeron 433 all is fine again.
Didn't find any jumpers on the board.
Any other ideas ?
THX,
Andy
P.S: The PIII cpu is okay - checked that in another board
