i hav note book acer aspire 1640z, last day i update bios in windows xp, when its complete system was resart and no display its become a beeeeeeeeep. Sad
i think m write wrong bios so now i required bios for intel chip not ati and bios format in *.bin.
any other suggestion plz do write thnx

If the drive has a jumper that limits the drive capacity, use that. Chances are you will be able to bypass the problem you are having with the bios by doing that. I have never seen an SATA board that has problems with high capacity drives, but its worth a shot using the jumper.
