Ahhh.. I should have known :)
Oh great, now I've let on that I come from the future...
Human, I assume that upgrading to a dualcore Athlon-64 would be trivial in this board?
Well, get another flash-EEPROM chip and try hotflash it.
Typical flash-EEPROM costs 5 euro, so it does not make sense to spend too much time wondering about what is wrong.
Hi, to all readers
Again a bios problem with large Hardisks
By my second older pc I have had a crasched HDD. the bios is not supporting large disks so i do have a problem with my new 40 Gb.
By surfing the web I thought I had found the solution "a LBA PRO" from unicore. It solves the HD problem but it won't work with my pc it hold on starting win98 I can only see something in safe mode.
there is a conflict, so I tryed every slot en every jumper setting but still nothing works.
Is there someone who can help me by fixing this problem? mabey without the LBA PRO
Thanks (a verry sad person after 3 days struggle)
my bios

BIOS Eval: 5DTX VER1.11 (6/6/97)

Superio: Winbond 977F/AF rev 0 found at port 3F0h
it simply doesn't work. It is pre beta mode i guess. It's not worth to install to me. I cannot get most of my plugins loaded. It keeps crashing. I am on Quadro with 8 GB ram with Vista X64 bit.

can you post the relevant section of your xorg.conf? It must be rejecting your modeline for some reason.
cat /etc/shadow
