Interesting.
Any suggestions on which options to try?
Well, I do not mean while flashing... I just mean while uniflash is running.
It seems to be only the "necessary" keys are allowed/will be accepted by UniFlash. This results that sreengrabber do not work.
Locking keys is only usefull while flashing, but it is not usefull while jut running Uniflash.
So, please, please, please, please make it possible to use each key/key shortcut in uniflash to enable picture dumps (again).
Well, what is about a special "switch" (e.g.: Uniflash /k) to force to enable key short cuts?

can someone tell me how to find my mb or bios idn# or even how to get the diagnostic screen at first boot..plz help[/b]
i have a compaq persario 5000us with intel integrated vid and sound..p2.566mhz not socket 7
Guys!
The sotec bios which is on the russian site works a treat! The only thing is you have to tell the flash utility to ignore the bios ID string cos they are different. SO MAKE SURE you download the RIGHT BIOS cos obviously once you tell it to ignore the string then you can potentially total your board. But having said that it really works well and fixes things like XP and V-large HDD's...
The header pin-outs are indeed the same for all boards in this series. Also all the necessary drivers can be collated from various other parts of the Uk Gigabyte site including one for the built in TNT2 card. So all your support problems are over.
Now on to my little problem... In THEORY this board should be able to run with a 133Mhz FSB and therefore be able to boot at least some of the XP series of CPU's. (I already have 133mhz memory) To do this you have to fiddle with SW1 - and according to the legend printed on the board setting the switch to 1010 SHOULD make it work at 133mhz. Only problem is when I try to do that it doesn't boot. So I can run my XP processor but only if I underclock it at 100Mhz... which rather defeats the point! SO...
PLEASE someone help! What am I doing wrong... and can someone PLEASE find a manual for the board and post it to a sie somewhere...
Just a Note: It looks just like the Intel® Desktop Board D845GLVA, though I have no idea what the VA designation is on the Intel board.
Smartmontools say the drive is healthy. I can manually copy the partitions and things from ata but the error messages really slow the copying down a lot and i have to repeated after hangs.
But then I can't get lilo to install in the mbr correctly although it says it does. It says it can't find a boot drive when I remove the ata drives.
found an app called smbios written by ibm.. does everything i need
This could be a USB timing issue.
The simplest solution is to just do what you are already doing.
Thanks.
