this is simple, i tried to flash my bios but the motherboard does not boot-up.

If someone could please help me i would really appreciate it. I have a PC Chips M726-V3.3 MB. I recently upgraded my P11 350 MHz for a PIII 600 MHz. It booted up fine once or twice but now it freezes up on startup. I dont know if i need to upgrade my bios or change voltages or what. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Write a small bash script that runs as a daily / weekly CRON job? You could have it check if the external hard drive is connected (grep the /etc/mtab file for the mount point) and if so, continue with a file copy or incremental tar or rsync or whatever.

No Dxxxx-xxxxx number anywhere? <-- nope. Checked it again right now. Nowhere in my line of sight. =/

Mh, so I've to use the DOS flasher.. but WHICH one?

And is it like "1.: flash the bios under dos; 2. update the bios under dos"? or how does this thing work? (thats how I understood it, reading the tutorial on some page, but ... you never know how much this german guy understands (the german guy, that would be me... Wink ))
Aaaaaaaaaanyway:
I still don't know WHICH flasher and which update I need and where I get it. The companies seem to try NOT to have people download their stuff, or is it just me who has problems finding ANYTHING in connection with BIOS upgrading? (Or is it just my board that sucks so hard??) Crying or Very sad

So you mean, I cannot get 4 GB of RAM out of it. I mostly compose music with my Nuendo 4 (32 bit). I tried Nuendo 4 ( 64-bit preview) and I hated it. I was going to buy i7. I guess i have to think twice before i buy it.

I use Nuendo 32bit on XP64, and it works the same as in XP32, only there is more memory available.
